HalalGamer (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website halalgamer.com. We provide Islamic content ratings for video games. You can contact us at padocs@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: If you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile preferences you set (madhab, strictness level, display name).
- Community votes: When you vote on a game's content rating, your vote is stored and associated with your account.
- Contact form submissions: If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send.
- Usage data: We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance monitoring. We do not sell this data.
- Local storage: Strictness preferences for anonymous users are stored in your browser's localStorage only — not on our servers.
3. How we use your information
- To operate and improve the HalalGamer service
- To display community vote summaries on game pages
- To respond to messages sent via the contact form
- To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset) if you have an account
- To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent votes
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services

5. Data retention
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us. Contact form messages are retained for up to 12 months for reference purposes.
6. Cookies
We use a minimal session cookie for authentication when you are logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Anonymous users are not tracked.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at padocs@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of HalalGamer after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
